Women’s Recap

ASU dominated the competition across the board, winning 13 events and racking up 224.5 points to best GCU’s 74.5 points.

Freshman Albane Cachot made a huge splash in her collegiate debut, sweeping the sprint freestyle events. She won the 50 free (22.43), 100 free (49.11) and 200 free (1:46.38), proving herself to be a strong contributor for the Sun Devils. Sun Devil Alexa Reyna logged a huge personal best in the 200 back, which she narrowly won in 1:59.68, just ahead of GCU runner-up Marta Guasp’s time of 1:59.88. Reyna’s performance knocked almost 3.5 seconds off of her former lifetime best (2:03.02) from back in March 2021.
