Texas capped off the 2025 season with a 41-27 victory against Michigan in the Cheez-It Citrus Bowl. Ending the season with a win is a positive step, it still isn’t what the team expected when it was the No. 1 team in the preseason.
Texas may have taken another step back on Thursday as redshirt freshman receiver Parker Livingstone reportedly plans to enter the portal. That’s according to On3’s Hayes Fawcett:

— Transfer Portal (@TransferPortal) January 2, 2026Livingstone had a very good year for the Longhorns, as he finished with 25 catches for 491 yards and six touchdowns. He developed a nice chemistry with Arch Manning, and was a guy the quarterback looked to in the redzone and in big moments.
He figures to be a hot commodity when the portal opens on Friday, as he still has three years of eligibility remaining. Auburn receiver Cam Coleman is likely going to be the biggest receiver name in the portal, but Livingstone would be a perfect complement receiver for many teams in the country.
With the transfer portal opening on Friday, the Longhorns are going to be very active to help get ready for what they hope is a run in the College Football Playoff during the 2026 season.
