Warm and dry weather is expected in San Diego County through Monday with high temperatures remaining 10-15 degrees above normal inland, forecasters said Saturday.

The warmth will then give way to a wet Christmas week, the NWS said. A low-pressure system and associated weak to moderate atmospheric river will bring widespread heavy rain and high elevation mountain snow late Tuesday into Christmas Day.
As for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, widespread moderate to heavy rainfall and gusty southerly winds are forecast with the potential for roadway flooding, rock and mudslides along mountain highways, and debris flows in and below recent burn scars, according to the NWS.
The chance for showers will decrease to around 50%-60% on Friday and 20%-30% next Saturday, forecasters said.
