How Race Swami Simplified Operations by Switching from TeamUnify to Commit
Matt Finnigan, Executive Director and Head Coach of Race Swami
Before switching to Commit Swimming, Race Swami struggled with TeamUnify’s clunky tools and nonexistent support.
“TeamUnify never has a representative that gets back to you — EVER. We needed a partner who could help us whenever we had questions, issues, didn’t know how to do something… etc. Also a program/system that was user-friendly. When we hired Mele, our Admin Assistant, she picked up Commit’s finance stuff in about 2 days and got the help she needed from videos that you guys shared with us. It’s just a stress-free partnership and we appreciate it so much, especially in comparison to having worked with a company who just doesn’t communicate. We are on a first name basis with all the people we work with at Commit while we don’t know one name to reach out to at TU. We’re officially dropping them this month for our SLC site and moving over to Commit.”
What specific feature or improvement has made the biggest difference for Race Swami since switching?
“Website is really easy and can be used as a marketing tool… Any time we can’t figure something out we can count on Commit to send us an easy to follow email AND video that shows us how to do something. When we send a question over it’s always answered within an hour (or much less), even on weekends sometimes! (!!!). Also, the monthly dues are 1,000% easier than TU ever was and adding new members takes about 2 minutes — that was huge because the team grew from 6 to 25 within 3 months… Honestly, everything is easy and it looks clean and professional, while our TU site for SLC’s team looks like the Winchester Mystery House and is a boilerplate embarrassment. :(”
After comparing both platforms side by side, the decision was clear to make the switch to Commit:
“Do it… do it NOW. I think when we transition the SLC site from TU to Commit we’ll have the experience of how easy it was and share some insight, but for the Belle haven site and comparing the two companies? It’s a no brainer if you want to create and establish a partnership with good people who you develop meaningful working relationships with… Commit is committed to their craft and it shows. I’ve gotten to compare the two side by side with two teams so in my humble opinion, I’m a pretty good reference for what works and what doesn’t.”
