— Keyron Crawford (@KeyronCrawford3) December 16, 2025A Memphis area native, Crawford’s story is interesting. As he said in his post, he didn’t start playing football until transferring to Briarcrest Christian Academy as a senior in high school, instead playing basketball.
He ultimately received nine offers before signing with Arkansas State out of the 2022 recruiting class. There, he totaled 58 tackles, 13.5 tackles for a loss, and 6.5 sacks across two seasons. That included 2023, when he made 44 stops, 10.5 TFLs, and 5.5 sacks. His TFL and sack totals were second among Red Wolves players.
He then entered the transfer portal before signing with Auburn. In his first season on The Plains, he made 22 tackles. His involvement increased in 2025 as he recorded 9.5 TFLs and 5.0 sacks, both second on the team. He earned 3rd team All-SEC honors when the season came to a close.
With his college career behind him — one that included a pair of seasons in the SEC — Crawford now will hope to land on an NFL roster in the spring.
