ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A 43-year-old woman is facing charges after Rochester Police say she climbed through a window and shot a person in the Edgerton neighborhood in September.

Police say on Sept. 18 at around 6:15 a.m. they responded to a house on Finch Street for a report of a person shot. When officers got there, they found a woman in her 20s with multiple gunshot wounds to the upper body.
The victim was brought to the hospital in serious condition, but police say medical staff were able to stabilize her.
Through investigations, police say they learned the victim and the suspect, Soraya Rodriguez, knew each other due to a third party man.
Police say they believe Rodriguez climbed through the window and shot the victim while she was lying in bed.
Rodriguez was arrested by the United States Marshal’s Violent Fugitive Task Force during a traffic stop in Buffalo Tuesday. She is charged with attempted murder, assault, burglary, and weapon charges.
Rodriguez was brought to Monroe County Jail and arraigned Wednesday in Rochester City Court.
