It’s another Chicago Bulls gameday (no, that’s not a threat) as they get ready to host yet another bottom-of-the-league opponent. Can they stop the bleeding against the lowly 4-16 Nets tonight at home?

Let’s start with some positive news! Zach Collins was assigned to the G-League on Tuesday to practice with the game, and has been officially cleared for contact. For the first time this season, he’s listed a “questionable” on the injury report. Collins, of course, has missed all of the season thus far with a wrist injury. He was a bit of an afterthought/contract filler in the Zach LaVine trade coming over from San Antonio, but he turned some heads down the stretch and provided Billy Donovan’s team with some toughness in the paint on both ends of the floor, which is something this year’s team can certainly use. It might not be tonight, but Collins’ defense would certainly be a welcome addition to the Bulls right now. Whether Collins enters the rotation tonight or not, it’s very much a game the Chicago Bulls can and should win. I know they lost on Monday against Orlando, but that game at least felt like a step in the right direction, that they just ended up dropping to a good team on the road and a really hot shooter in Desmond Bane. Could they have cleaned things up defensively? Absolutely. But an effort like that tonight probably leads them back into the win column. © David Banks – Imagn Images As for the bad injury news, both Kevin Huerter and Coby White will be out of the lineup tonight, so that’s not a great development. White will miss his second game in a row due to that calf injury (he’s also listed as with an illness), and Huerter played just six minutes in the loss to Orlando before exiting with a hamstring injury. So. Yea. The Bulls have allowed 120+ points in 12 of their last 13 games. Tonight would be a decent time to buck that trend. Brooklyn will come into this evening’s matchup at the United Center with the worst scoring offense in the league at 108.8 points per game. They’re also 29th in shooting percentage (44.0%), 25th in three-point percentage (33.9%), and 25th in effective field goal percentage (52.2 %). While we’re on the topic of tonight’s game, for the first time this season, the Chicago Bulls will be rocking their new city edition uniforms, which are pretty sweet in my opinion.
