Damascus, Dec. 01 (SANA) President Ahmad al‑Sharaa held a video call with Syria’s National Football Team Monday following its 1–0 win over Tunisia in the Arab Cup in Qatar, congratulating the players for the victory he said “brought joy to the hearts of all Syrians.”
During the call, al-Sharaa said the win reflected the team’s determination and resilience, noting that sports have become an important outlet for Syrians after 14 years of hardship.
