Niantic releases detals about Pokemon Go Tour: Kalos events ...Middle East

News by : (mercury news) -

Although Niantic’s announcement of the new “Pokémon Go” season Precious Paths didn’t move the needle, fans have one big celebration to look forward to during the monthslong event that runs Dec. 2, 2025, to March 3, 2026. Toward the end of the season, the developers will hold Pokémon Go’s second-largest event – Pokémon Go Tour.

The event focuses on one region, and it’s an excellent opportunity for fans to grab shiny variants that they have missed out on. This year, Pokémon Go Tour: Kalos will have three big celebrations. The in-person event is returning to the Rose Bowl and the surrounding areas in Los Angeles and Tainan Metropolitan Park in Taiwan from Feb. 20 to 22, while Pokémon Go Tour: Kalos – Global will be held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Feb. 28 and March 1 worldwide.

The in-person event will require a ticket, while the global event will be free, and players will have a chance at variants and uncommon Pokémon. To get the full global experience, though, players will need to purchase a global event ticket that includes exclusive Special Research, additional bonuses and increased shiny encounters with additional purchases.

As with all Niantic in-person events, Pokemon Go Tour: Kalos will feature merchandise such as T-shirts, bags and hoodies. (Niantic)

EVENT DETAILS Pokémon Go Tour: Kalos will feature shiny Diancie as the centerpiece of its paid Masterwork Research, included with the global ticket. For everyone else, including free-to-play trainers, Niantic includes new costumed Pokémon – a Pikachu wearing Calem’s hat or Serena’s hat. Along with that, players will have an increased chance to catch shiny variants of the Kalos starters: Chespin, Fennekin and Froakie.

Go Tour will also feature the shiny debuts of Klefki, Hawlucha and Honedge. The first two are regional, while the last one is an uncommon spawn. They’ll be sought-after because they’ll be harder to acquire outside of the event. Here’s how to get them:

Honedge: One-star raids during the event Klefki: 10km eggs during the event Hawlucha: 10km eggs during the event

When it comes to the other eggs, the 2km ones aren’t impressive. They contain past pseudolegendaries, while 5km eggs are more interesting. They feature all available colors of Flabebe, including regionals. Aside from Hawlucha and Klefki, the other 10km eggs feature Kangaskhan and Heracross. All hatched Pokémon tied to the event have a chance at being shiny.

As for raids, the initial list for Pokémon Go Tour: Kalos isn’t as exciting. Mega Raids take up nearly the whole event. Unfortunately, all of them have been previously released. It’s not especially exciting for trainers who already have Mega Evolved species, but it will be a good way for players to snag Mega Energy for species that they don’t have yet or try for hundos. In five-star raids, players can battle the Kalos legendary Pokémon Xerneas and Yveltal.

The one saving grace is that Niantic is hinting that there’s more, and that could mean a certain psychic Mega Evolved Pokémon that hasn’t come out yet or new ones from “Pokémon Legends Z-A.”

POKEMON TO KEEP AN EYE ON For the global event, players will encounter three habitats: Central Village, Mountain Manor and Coastal Laboratory. They offer players a chance to catch rare shinies such as Spritzee, Swirlix, Dedenne, Helioptile, Espurr, Pancham, Carbink, Phantump, Bergmite, Binacle, Clauncher and Skrelp. For those who collect Unowns, they have a chance to catch A, K, L, O and S if they use incense.

Lastly, Niantic is opening up the type of Furfrou haircuts that creatures can get. In the Americas, players can get the Star, Diamond, La Reine, Kabuki and Pharaoh trims. Originally, players had to travel to places such as Egypt, Europe or Japan to grab these. It’s worthwhile for Ticket Holders to access these new look for the Poodle Pokémon.

Niantic is expected to release more details about Pokemon Go Tour: Kalos as the game ramps up to its season finale.
