Arizona State point guard Moe Odum is showing he has a knack for the clutch.
After he hit a falling-away 3-pointer to earn a comeback victory over Texas in the Maui Invitational quarterfinals on Monday, Odum gave ASU the points it needed late to separate for a win over old Pac-12 foe Washington State 100-94 in the semifinals.
ASU was trailing by two with 6:27 left when Allen Mukeba cashed in an and-one before Odum really went to work. The point guard scored nine of ASU’s next 14 to cap off a 15-8 run and pull ahead by seven.
He was again finding success from deep on 5 of 7 3-point shooting, including two late makes, after he shot 6 of 12 from distance in the quarterfinal win. Odum finished with 26 points to build off his career-high 36 on Monday.
Pig Johnson added six points late to help pull away when it became a fouling game, finishing with 13 points. He had a dunk earlier in the game that made you believe pigs could fly.

The Sun Devils are proving to be a resilient group, coming back to win after they were down by as much as 12 in the second half.
In previous wins against Texas and Hawaii, they also fought back from second-half deficits of 10 and seven, respectively.
After facing former Pac-12 foes twice in Maui so far in Sean Miller at Texas and Washington State on Tuesday, ASU (6-1) will play for its first Maui Invitational Championship since 1994 and second all-time, doing so against another former Pac-12 team in USC (6-0).
The Maui Invitational Championship will tip off at 12:30 p.m. MST on Wednesday.
