The 27-year-old, best known for her role as Clara Livingston in the hit Netflix period drama Bridgerton, shared that she was harassed by a “full-grown adult” man while on her way to an audition.
“Guys, literally five minutes before my audition, I was walking around the corner at Oxford Circus and this guy just looks at me, and targets me, and [expletive] hits me,” she recalled while crying, adding, “I’m like, against the wall, and I was right about to arrive for my audition. So I had to come in, and I’m trying to gather myself, but I’m so shaken.”
Chenneour managed to remember the look of the alleged attacker and described it in her post, writing, “He was about 50 years old, 6’3”, Black, wearing a dark coloured hat and black clothes.”

On Instagram, she posted a lengthy caption urging a focus on safety, “meaningful change” and support rather than finger-pointing and victim-blaming.
“I’m sharing this because staying silent helps no one… Women are being attacked far too often in London, and I won’t pretend what happened to me is an isolated incident,” she wrote.

“I am so sorry. This is the reality for women and it has to end. Sending you love,” one wrote.
“I’m very sorry for what happened to you. I hope that something can change and that no one will ever be hurt again. I hope you’re holding up somehow and managing to get through this,” a fan echoed.
“Genuinely sorry you had to experience this. Unfortunately, it seems to be a way too common occurrence for women and girls smh,” a follower said.
Sadly, this was the second time she experienced an attack in London.
