The Chicago Bears have a rough stretch of their schedule coming up, and one of their biggest games has been flexed by the NFL.
Though the Bears are preparing to host the Pittsburgh Steelers this weekend at Soldier Field, their first showdown of the season against their hated rivals the Green Bay Packers has been pushed back to a new timeslot.
According to the league, that Week 14 game between the two teams, set to be played at Lambeau Field on Sunday, December 7, will be played at 3:25 p.m. Central time instead of the originally scheduled noon kickoff.
That game will still air on Fox, according to the league.
The Bears currently have a 7-3 record, and are in the top spot in the NFC North, just ahead of the Packers and the Detroit Lions in the division race.
The Bears are also coming off of a huge win over those Packers on Jan. 5, 2025, with Cairo Santos bombing in a game-winning field goal at Lambeau Field to snap an 11-game losing streak against Green Bay that had dated back all the way to the 2019 season.
In all, the Bears have won just three of their last 23 games against the Packers dating back to the 2013 season, and they’ve won at Lambeau Field three times since the 2007 season.
The Packers have had an up-and-down season, losing games to the Cleveland Browns, Carolina Panthers and Philadelphia Eagles while capturing wins over the Detroit Lions, the Steelers and recently the New York Giants at MetLife Stadium.
The Packers are about to hit a division-heavy portion of their schedule, with a home game against the Vikings before traveling to Detroit for a Thanksgiving showdown with the Lions.
The Bears meanwhile will play the Steelers at home, then head to Philadelphia to play the Eagles on Black Friday, meaning that both teams will have a longer-than-normal break before they face-off at Lambeau Field on December 7.
