Fitter and Faster Swim Camps is the proud sponsor of SwimSwam’s College Recruiting Channel and all commitment news. For many, swimming in college is a lifelong dream that is pursued with dedication and determination. Fitter and Faster is proud to honor these athletes and those who supported them on their journey.
Addison Clark, a distance freestyle specialist, has verbally committed to continue her swimming career at Florida Atlantic University beginning in 2026. Clark currently competes for both Pope High School in Marietta, Georgia, and the Chattahoochee Gold Swim Club.
Clark isn’t the only swimmer in her family. Her sister, Ainsley Clark, swims for Rhodes College, a Division III school in Memphis, Tennessee. A junior, she primarily competes in freestyle and backstroke events.
“I am so grateful and excited to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and athletic career at Florida Atlantic University!! I would like to thank my family, friends, and teammates for their constant support. I would also like to thank all of my coaches who have helped me grow as an athlete and reach this point. A huge thanks to Coach Lara, Coach Bubb, and Coach Pol for giving me this opportunity to join such an amazing program! Go owls!!!”
Representing Pope High School, Clark was a finalist at the 2025 GHSA 5A State Championships (SCY) in February, finishing 5th in the 200 free (1:54.08) and as the runner-up in the 500 free (4:58.91).
The following month, competing for Chattahoochee Gold, Clark posted her fastest 1000 free at the GA ASL Southeastern Meet of Champions (SCY), finishing in 2nd place with a time of 10:07.63.
Clark triumphed at the 2024 Georgia Senior State Championships (SCY) in December, capturing numerous best times. She took victory in the 500 free (4:57.08), placed 3rd in the 1650 free (17:19.19), 6th in the 400 IM (4:35.45), 8th in the 200 fly (2:09.92), 11th in the 200 free (1:52.93), and 15th in the 200 back (2:07.93).
