“Foul play” could be linked to the disappearance of a missing 51-year-old Mundelein man who hasn’t been seen in over a week, Lake County authorities say.
Ruslan Furman was last know to reside in the 16500 block of North Route 83 in unincorporated Mundelein, according to the Lake County Sheriff’s Office. Based on detectives’ information “they believe there could be foul play linked to his disappearance,” Deputy Chief Christopher Covelli said.
During a search Thursday of Furman’s home, Dmitry Bogatiryov, 52, and Damen Voranoff, 55, both of Mundelein, were found to be “in possession of a number of firearms and large amount of cannabis inside of their residence,” Covelli said.
Bogatiryov and Voranoff were arrested on charges related to those findings.
Police were seen Friday searching the lake behind Furman’s home for the missing man.
