"Fox NFL Sunday" badly botched a Rams-49ers pregame segment Sunday morning, struggling with the details of the first meeting between the two teams in Los Angeles and expressing concerns about a Rams player who isn't expected to play Sunday at all.
Fox analyst Terry Bradshaw, who's now 77 years old, kicked off the train-wreck segment with an immediate screw-up.
“They are playing so good. Sean McVay’s got them playing at a high level. I don’t see them sloughing off whatsoever," he said. "If I’m worried about anything with the Rams, it’s Joshua Karty, their field goal kicker. He is not the guy I want kicking a winning field goal for me."
Just one issue: Karty is no longer the Rams' kicker. The Stanford alum has the league's worst field goal percentage at 67%. He's missed three under-40-yard field goals and missed three extra points, leading the Rams to sign Harrison Mevis to the practice squad this week. Mevis was named the starting kicker Friday by Los Angeles coach Sean McVay. Bradshaw was seemingly unaware, and no one on the pregame panel corrected him.
Host Curt Menefee nodded during Bradshaw's rant, Rob Gronkowski looked down, and Howie Long didn’t react at all, just staring off into the distance. Michael Strahan, meanwhile, responded to Bradshaw while also driving the train farther off the rails.
"They lost earlier to the 49ers by a field goal," Strahan noted. "Couldn’t convert the field goal in overtime."

The Rams' 26-23 overtime loss to San Francisco in Week 5 came on a stuffed 4th-and-1 run from Kyren Williams, not a missed Karty field goal.
