The Avalanche bounced back from a losing road trip to beat the Lightning at Ball Arena on Friday night.
Six players scored goals and four had multi-point nights. Nathan MacKinnon had a goal and three assists. Martin Necas had a goal and two assists. Devon Toews and Artturi Lehkonen both had a goal and an assist.

Nazem Kadri scored his first goal of the season on the man advantage, and Logan O’Connor returned after an injury and personal leave for his first game this season.
“OC (O’Connor) played really good for being out a long time. We know he’s going to get even better than that. So I was pretty happy with the way those guys (the fourth line) played,” head coach Jared Bednar said.
Mackenzie Blackwood made 31 saves and continues to play outstanding between the pipes.
“It’s a good benchmark for us to measure ourselves against another top team. So I thought we did a great job and responded well tonight,” Blackwood said.
