Fitter and Faster Swim Camps is the proud sponsor of SwimSwam’s College Recruiting Channel and all commitment news. For many, swimming in college is a lifelong dream that is pursued with dedication and determination. Fitter and Faster is proud to honor these athletes and those who supported them on their journey.

Franklin Regional Swim Team‘s Diesel Molin has verbally committed to stay in-state and join the Ball State University men’s team in the fall of 2026.

Proud to share that I’ll be continuing my academic and swimming journey at Ball State University! This dream is possible because of my amazing family, friends, teammates, and coaches who have shaped me into the person I am today. I want to thank God for this opportunity to grow as a person and athlete these next 4 years. I’m incredibly thankful to the Ball State coaching staff for believing in me, and I’m ready to work hard, grow, and represent the Cardinals. Let’s get after it!

Molin hails from Mooresville, Ind, and represents Mooresville High School. As a junior, Molin set a pair of best times at the IHSAA Boys Sectional meet in Franklin, clocking 46.82 in the 100 free, as well as a new best in the 50 back, leading off the 200 medley relay in 24.37.

Molin followed that performance up the following week at the IHSAA Boys State Championship, clocking 21.51 in the 50 free for his fastest swim of his career.

Molin also holds a best 200 free time of 1:46.70 from the 2025 Indiana Swimming Senior Championships in March.

In long course, Molin qualified for the Indianapolis Sectionals this past March, where he set a personal best time in the 100 back (1:03.40) and also raced the 50 free (25.58) and 100 free (55.43).

In late June, at the Indy Summer Cup, he set new LC bests in the 50 free (24.86), 100 free (54.55) and 200 free (2:04.23).

Best Times SCY:

50 Free: 21.51 100 Free: 46.82 200 Free: 1:46.70 100 Back: 52.49

The Ball State men finished 5th at the 2025 Missouri Valley Swimming and Diving Championships last season.

Based on Molin’s best times, he would have finished tied for 34th in the 50 free, and 27th in both the 100 free and 200 free.

Molin will join Lochlan Huerth and Brogan Wilson in Ball State’s men’s 2026 recruiting class.
