The first convictions based on evidence from the Post Office’s Captureaccounting software, which it used before the faulty Horizon system, have been referred to the Court of Appeal.
It comes after the Criminal Cases Review Commission (CCRC) referred the case of sub-postmistress Patricia Owen back in July.
Mrs Owen was convicted of theft by a jury in 1998.
Her conviction was based on evidence from the faulty IT software Capture.She was given a suspended prison sentence and died in 2003 after fighting to clear her name.
