The football game between the Arizona Wildcats and BYU Cougars entered a weather delay on Saturday in Tucson ahead of the second quarter starting.

Lightning had entered the area, forcing a pause until at least 30 minutes after the last time lightning is seen or thunder is heard in the area.

Due to lightning in the area, we are now under a weather delay. We ask that fans please exit the seating area and seek shelter.

The delay was announced around 5:50 p.m. MST. The storm in the area was remnants of Hurricane Priscilla, which also threatened to affect the ASU-Utah game in Salt Lake City.

Arizona had just gotten on the board for the first time with 32 seconds left in the first quarter, as Noah Fifita threw a 17-yard touchdown pass to Kris Hutson to cut a 14-point deficit in half.

BYU scored its two touchdowns on explosive plays, first a 28-yard touchdown run by running back L.J. Martin and then a 75-yard touchdown pass from freshman quarterback Bear Bachmeier to Parker Kingston.
