A worker died after he was struck by a street sweeper at a construction site in Santa Fe Springs on Monday morning, Oct. 6, authorities said.
Whittier police got a call at 8:33 a.m. about the collision in the 10600 block of Carmenita Road, Lt. Mike Przybyl said, adding officers found the man pinned under the vehicle.
Firefighters pronounced him dead at the scene. The medical examiner’s office had not yet publicly identified the man.
