TRABZONSPOR have told Andre Onana’s camp they would love to sign him permanently, despite his loan deal being without an option or obligation to buy, SunSport has been told.

SunSport understands that Onana’s loan is a dry one, with no option or obligation to buy.
However, the club have indicated they would like to open discussions with Manchester United about the possibility of making the move permanent when the loan expires.
Trabzonspor are already paying the Cameroonian goalkeeper more than the £120,000-a-week wage he earned at Old Trafford, so agreeing personal terms is not expected to be an issue, even though it’s still unclear whether United will be willing to cut their losses or at least recoup the £47m they paid Inter Milan in 2023 for his services.
Trabzonspor are currently second in the Turkish Super Lig and are aiming to mount a serious title challenge this season.
Since moving to Turkey, Onana has made changes to his entourage, deciding against relocating his entire family.
His wife who flew with him to Turkey has returned to Manchester to be with the kids, keeping only a small circle around him as he focuses on returning to his best form.
That minimalist approach already appears to be paying off.

He recently reminded fans of his unique ball-playing ability with a superb 60-yard assist in the match against Gaziantep.
Onana ended last season as Manchester United’s first-choice goalkeeper, retaining his place in the Europa League final against Tottenham in Bilbao.
However, he picked up an injury on his return to pre-season-something that reportedly did not go down well with some members of the United hierarchy.
He missed pre-season and was relegated to the bench, with manager Ruben Amorim preferring Altay Bayındır.
The Cameroonian was later brought in for the disastrous League Cup match against Grimsby Town, where he completely misjudged a cross that led to a goal.
That performance convinced United, who had previously been reluctant to bring in another goalkeeper-to go all out to sign Royal Antwerp’s Senne Lammens.
SunSport understands that United and Onana mutually agreed he could benefit from a year away from the spotlight of the Premier League, at a club where he could play regularly and compete for the league title.
