Kepa has signed a three-year deal at the Emirates Stadium, and is expected to fight with first-choice goalkeeper and fellow Spaniard David Raya for a starting spot. The Gunners have done plenty of transfer business with the Blues in recent seasons, and have continued that trend here.

Though not a particularly exciting signing, Arsenal needed to bring in a new goalkeeper after the departure of Neto following his loan spell from Bournemouth in the 2024/25 campaign. At just £5m, bringing in an experienced Premier League shot-stopper in Kepa represents good business.

Martin Zubimendi (Real Sociedad)

Arsenal finally completed the signing of Martin Zubimendi in a deal that was believed to be struck months ago. The Gunners reportedly paid his £51m release clause to sign him from Real Sociedad.

Zubimendi signing grade: A

The Gunners also signed a second defensive midfielder in Christian Norgaard, following the departures of both Thomas Partey and Jorginho. They reportedly paid a total transfer fee of £15m including add-ons to sign the now former Brentford captain.

Norgaard signing grade: B

Norgaard has unfortunately had injuries this season, and so he has not been seen enough in an Arsenal shirt just yet.

Noni Madueke (Chelsea)

Perhaps their opinions are understandable given the sheer volume of transfer business that Arsenal have done with Chelsea in recent seasons, and it can be seen as frustrating for the Gunners to give the Blues a large sum of money for a player that they ultimately did not want to keep. However, Madueke will be very determined to prove them all wrong.

Madueke signing grade: B

Madueke put in some impressive performances before unfortunately suffering a major injury that is expected to keep him out for a while.

Mosquera made a total of 90 appearances in all competitions for Valencia by the age of just 21, and is also a full Spain U21 international. He will provide quality cover for more senior centre-backs William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes, and will wear the number three shirt in North London.

Mosquera is also another smart signing in terms of increasing the depth in the squad. He is a player with plenty of promise, and provides much needed cover at centre-back.

Viktor Gyokeres (Sporting)

Perhaps Arsenal's most significant signing of the summer transfer window was that of Viktor Gyokeres for a reported fee of around £63.5m including add-ons. The Sweden international striker signed having boasted an exceptional goalscoring record at previous club Sporting in Portugal.

Gyokeres signing grade: A

Arsenal's marquee signing of the summer transfer window has to be that of Eberechi Eze from fellow London-based Premier League side Crystal Palace for a reported transfer fee of around £67.5m including add-ons. The England international midfielder did originally have a £68m release clause in his contract at Selhurst Park, but it expired on the first day of the new 2025/26 season.

Eze signing grade: A

Eze has already scored for his new club and made plenty of assists, and has quickly turned into a fans' favourite at the Emirates Stadium.

Piero Hincapie (Bayer Leverkusen)

Capable of playing both as a central defender and a left-back, Hincapie will help boost the Gunners' defensive options for the new season. There is reportedly an option to buy him for £45m should he impress at the Emirates Stadium.

To get a player of Hincapie's quality on an initial loan deal with an option to buy is such smart transfer business from Arsenal. His added versatility means that he should be a very useful asset to the squad.

Arsenal transfer window rating: Grade A

Arsenal brought in a lot of smart signings that have filled in holes in the squad. It now has no glaring weakness, and should be ready to compete on all fronts.

Arsenal have had a great start to the season though with a lot of their new signings making significant contributions, and head into the October international break at the top of the Premier League table.

It is perhaps safe to say that Arsenal's business in the Summer 2024 transfer window was a mixed bag. Loanees Neto and Raheem Sterling failed to make an impact, with the former playing just once and the latter scoring no Premier League goals.

The permanent signing of Raya was needed as he won the Premier League's Golden Glove award for the second successive season. Riccardo Calafiori had good moments but was scuppered by injury, while midfielder Mikel Merino did well as a makeshift striker and scored some important goals.
