ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Once again, during the afternoon hours it continues to feel more like summer. The high temperature has reached the lower 80s for this Saturday and typically the temperature only manages to get into the middle 60s. In addition, this extended period of dry weather has now elevated the drought monitor into the range of a severe drought for portions of Western New York. Looking ahead, it appears some much-needed rain will be arriving by Tuesday.
Tonight, look for clear, moonlit skies with the low temperature near 55 degrees. Sunday brings bright sunshine with the temperature pushing into the middle 80s. Monday features a lot of sunshine again, with the temperature also topping out in the middle 80s. The record high temperature for Monday is 87 degrees set back in 1900. Then Tuesday showers arrive with maybe some thunder. The temperature begins to fall through the 70s into the 60s.
If you are heading to the Hilton Apple Festival on Sunday, the weather will be beautiful. In addition, the weather for the Bills game at Orchard Park for Sunday night will be pleasant.
