DENVER (KDVR) — Several people are in custody after a federal drug warrant search operation during which shots were fired at law enforcement, according to the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration.
The incident happened during the execution of a federal drug search warrant in the area of Colfax Avenue and Sable Boulevard on Wednesday morning, a DEA spokesperson told FOX31.

The DEA did not release any additional details about what happened but said the investigation was ongoing.
An Aurora Police Department spokesperson confirmed Aurora officers were assisting in the investigation but also did not give any details of what happened.
Neither agency said to what the initial search warrant was in regard.
