Half of the Blackhawks played in St. Louis last night. The other half will jump on a plane and head to Minnesota to face the Wild in an early evening tilt today. And, once again, the start of a Blackhawks game that doesn’t matter in the standings will overlap with a Bears game (this happened during the prospect showcase as well).
HOWEVER, it looks like the Blackhawks will have their season-starting top six forwards rolling tonight. And the top two defensive pairs on the ice tonight might be your top two when things count in Florida to start the regular season. So this one should have some of your attention… even if the Bears are playing.
Note: the lines below are based on what we saw in practice on Friday with a few tweaks for guys playing in both games this weekend. There wasn’t a morning skate on Sunday so we only have the roster that’s going to Minnesota.

n/aWhat to Watch For
I need to see more from Levshunov. Tonight will be the first game action for Burakovsky with the Blackhawks, and he’ll at least start the game on Bedard’s wing. I’m interested to see how that line with Donato works. Tonight likely begins what could be a long run for Vlasic and Rinzel together. I’ll be watching to see how their chemistry looks after being apart for the first week of camp.Get Caught Up
