Police in suburban Kendall County are searching for a man who fled a Yorkville courthouse when officers tried to take him into custody.
According to authorities, 32-year-old Rayvon Johnson was wanted for failure to appear on an outstanding warrant for domestic battery.
Officers tried to apprehend Johnson at the courthouse, but he fled the Yorkville facility on foot and remains at-large as of Tuesday afternoon.
Johnson is described as standing between 6-feet-2 and 6-feet-4, and weighing between 150 and 160 pounds. He was wearing black shorts and a black shirt when he fled the courthouse.
Police are deploying drones and K9 teams as part of the effort to locate the suspect.
While police say they don’t believe Johnson is a threat to the public, they are asking residents to call 630-553-5856 to report any suspicious activity in their neighborhoods.
