LIMA, N.Y. – The Lima and Honeoye Falls communities gathered Saturday at Elim Life Church to honor Jonathan Stills of Lima, who died in a car crash in Canandaigua on Aug. 27.
Stills was a beloved local hero in the area. He worked for Lima EMS, drove buses for local schools, served as a Lima Village Board trustee, and ran a nonprofit food pantry called “Love Leads Us.”
“I was a missionary in Uganda, and then I was here trying to settle down and he was like ‘do you need any help, do you need food, do you need clothes, do you need toys for the kids,’ and he had all this stuff in his vehicle,” said Collina Alinaitwe.
A GoFundMe for Stills’ family has raised more than $136,000.
