New Burns Unit Opens at Al-Razi Hospital in Aleppo ...Syria

Aleppo, SANA- A new burns department equipped with the latest international medical equipment and supplies was opened, Sunday, at Al-Razi Hospital in Aleppo province to meet the growing need in northern Syria.

The new department is the only one of its kind in the area that “provides advanced specialized medical services” which contributes to providing appropriate treatment to patients and easing their suffering, Health Deputy Minister, Dr. Hussein al-Khatib, told SANA.

Aleppo Health Director Muhammad Wajih Jumaa, explained that the department represents a “turning point in treating burns which require constant monitoring and precise operations”.

The department includes an emergency department specialized in assessing the initial condition of patients, providing them with appropriate treatment, he added.
