CAIRO, Aug 29 (MENA) – A shipment of medical supplies donated by Egypt arrived on Friday at Asmara International Airport as a gift to the people of Eritrea, the Egyptian foreign ministry said.
The aid, which was handed over to Eritrea’s Pharmaceutical Administration, includes supplies for ophthalmology and kidney dialysis.
The shipment was provided by the Egyptian Agency of Partnership for Development, as part of Egypt’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its strategic and sisterly relations with Eritrea.
This comes after the visit of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to Asmara in October last year, which marked a new chapter in bilateral cooperation.
