(KRON) — Firefighters are battling a 40-acre wildfire burning in Dublin, according to the latest information from Cal Fire.

The fire, named the “Parks Fire,” ignited around 3:23 p.m. on the U.S. Army Camp Parks military base, according to the City of Dublin.

“Camp Parks Fire Department is working on a fast-moving … vegetation fire burning on the base,” the City of Dublin shared on social media Friday evening. “No buildings are threatened at this time.”

The Alameda County Fire Department and the San Ramon Valley Fire Department are also assisting with the fire. The San Ramon Valley Fire Department has six engines fighting the fire on the northern end of Camp Parks near Bollinger Canyon Road.
