Schedule Release Coming, Coby & Ayo Support Caruso, Needing Isaac Okoro, and Other Bulls Bullets ...Middle East

I know this may feel like any other Monday, but today is actually a monumental day in Chicago Bulls history. We have officially surpassed the 1,000-hour mark in our Josh Giddey Watch!

The 2025-26 NBA schedule release is quickly approaching! The NBA announced on Monday morning that the entire league calendar will be released on August 14. However, the fun will start on Tuesday morning with Good Morning America and the Today Show, as the NBA plans to provide a sneak peek of this next season by highlighting some key matchups. One has to imagine this will include confirming the Opening Night and Christmas Day schedule. ESPN’s Shams Charania leaked the expected matchups this past weekend. While we may not have the exact dates of each team’s NBA Cup games, we do already know the six different groups. The NBA announced this earlier in the offseason, placing the Bulls in a group that will see them face off against four teams they have never battled during the in-season tournament before. We also happen to know the Bulls’ preseason schedule already! If you missed that release, you can check that out here. Will a schedule release kick the restricted free agent market into high gear? Nothing quite says a new season is on the horizon like this annual event. Sure, players will still have over two months before their first taste of regular-season play, but training camp and preseason will creep up quickly. We also know that many teammates will get together even earlier than the official start of training camp for some voluntary prep. At the end of the day, the sense of urgency to find a resolution is building for both parties. The two Chicago Bulls guards were there to celebrate their former teammate’s big day, and they were also joined by one of the five Javonte Greens! Even better, all three of them were spotted sporting a white headband during the reception. I think it’s safe to say they were the best-dressed guests.

— Bleacher Nation Bulls (@BN_Bulls) August 11, 2025 The Chicago Bulls need tons of help on defense – Exhibit D. NBA University mapped out how each team did in the “loose balls recovered” department last season, and I bet you can guess where the Bulls ended up! They finished 29th in front of only the Milwaukee Bucks. I’m not sure any stat highlights better how much this group has missed Alex Caruso. The Bulls ranked 7th in loose balls recovered during the 2023-24 campaign, and they were a solid 14th the year before that. Look, as hard as Coby White or Josh Giddey might play, there is a lot more that goes into collecting these “hustle stats.” Caruso simply has a knack for being in the right place at the right time. He also has this innate willingness to put his body on the line at all times. Every successful team needs that kind of player, and the Bulls are surely hoping that Isaac Okoro can step into that role this season. Is he as talented a defender as Caruso? No. But he has proven to be an above-average asset on that end of the floor, and his consistent ball pressure will likely make an immediate difference for this team next season.

— NBA University (@NBA_University) August 11, 2025 Speaking of former Bulls, Javonte Green found a new home! The Detroit Pistons signed the veteran wing to a one-year deal. This means the Bulls can expect to see the Swiss Army Knife player four times next year.

— Shams Charania (@ShamsCharania) August 11, 2025 Tab thinks that Connor Bedard could be part of the NHL’s next great rivalry! Even with the starters sitting, Patrick believes the Bears’ preseason opener provided plenty to be excited about. The Cubs’ playoff odds have plummeted over the last couple of weeks. Karma for a quiet deadline?
