The 2025-26 NBA schedule release is quickly approaching! The NBA announced on Monday morning that the entire league calendar will be released on August 14. However, the fun will start on Tuesday morning with Good Morning America and the Today Show, as the NBA plans to provide a sneak peek of this next season by highlighting some key matchups. One has to imagine this will include confirming the Opening Night and Christmas Day schedule. ESPN’s Shams Charania leaked the expected matchups this past weekend. While we may not have the exact dates of each team’s NBA Cup games, we do already know the six different groups. The NBA announced this earlier in the offseason, placing the Bulls in a group that will see them face off against four teams they have never battled during the in-season tournament before. Nothing quite says a new season is on the horizon like this annual event. Sure, players will still have over two months before their first taste of regular-season play, but training camp and preseason will creep up quickly. We also know that many teammates will get together even earlier than the official start of training camp for some voluntary prep. At the end of the day, the sense of urgency to find a resolution is building for both parties.
