With the release dates set for later this month, a whole host of new images have been released, giving us new looks at Helen Mirren's Elizabeth, Pierce Brosnan's Ron, Ben Kingsley's Ibrahim and Celia Imrie's Joyce.
The images were released alongside a brand-new trailer, which shows off plenty of new footage, and introduces us to some of these supporting characters properly.
View oEmbed on the source websiteThe synopsis for the film, which is based on Richard Osman’s international best-selling novel of the same name, says that it follows "four irrepressible retirees - Elizabeth (Mirren), Ron (Brosnan), Ibrahim (Kingsley) and Joyce (Imrie) - who spend their time solving cold case murders for fun".
The synopsis continues: "When an unexplained death occurs on their own doorstep, their casual sleuthing takes a thrilling turn as they find themselves with a real whodunit on their hands."
He has already expressed an interest in returning to direct sequels, which would no doubt be based on Osman's follow-up novels.
"Making this film was a dream. I truly hope I am fortunate enough to make a sequel. And another sequel. And another sequel..."
