The crew of a Mexico-bound flight made a safe emergency landing at San Diego International Airport Friday soon after departure from the airport.
Authorities said the landing followed a possible bird strike.
The Alaska Airlines Boeing 737-900, which had taken off en route to Los Cabos, returned to the airport shortly after 1 p.m., according to the Federal Aviation Administration.
No injuries were reported.
