Three fires broke out almost simultaneously across San Diego County on Thursday, with one growing to 200 acres.
The Basilone Fire broke out in North County near Camp Pendleton around 1:15 p.m., as did the Dennery Fire in San Ysidro.
The Jamacha Fire in East County broke out closer to 1 p.m. in the Rancho San Diego area.
As of 4 p.m., none of the fires have led to evacuation orders. Two remain small, while the other, the Basilone Fire, has grown.
That blaze started at two acres, but has now grown to 200 acres. A fire operation was launched to help battle the blazes, according to Watch Duty, a nonprofit online service, but the fire continued to grow.
In response, Camp Pendleton closed Basilone Road from Las Pulgas Road to the Camp Horno 53 Area, in the north central part of the base.
Meanwhile, the Jamacha Fire and the Dennery Fire are much smaller.
The Jamacha Fire is a small vegetation fire, sitting at just 0.25 acres. A helicopter was dispatched to drop water at the site around 2 p.m., but the fire has not yet been contained.
Though still active, the forward progress of the Dennery Fire has been stopped, per Watch Duty alerts. The fire is holding at two acres. Ground and air crews were deployed to battle the flames, which pose no immediate threats to structures.
