In the first response from the family of the Egyptian President Mohamed Hosni Mubarak regarding a woman’s claims that she is his daughter, Alaa Mubarak, the late President’s son, shot down the woman’s statements.
In response to a question posed to him on the “X” platform (formerly Twitter) concerning the “Bint El Rayes Hosni Mubarak” (Daughter of President Hosni Mubarak) TikToker, Marwa Yousry, a follower named Naglaa Abdelhamid asked Alaa Mubarak: “Good evening…I have a question, Mr. Alaa, why aren’t you taking action against the woman claiming to be President Mubarak’s daughter? I’ve been seeing her for a long time and I’m puzzled why you’re not prosecuting her. She’s tarnishing the reputation of President Mubarak, may God have mercy on him.”
The late President’s son replied: “Good evening to you, Professor Naglaa. This nonsense does not deserve a response, nor does it hold any importance. We shouldn’t give attention to every person who comes out and says empty words. My regards to you.”
Mubarak’s comment on the incident marks the first response from the late President’s family regarding the statements made by “Marwa,” who claimed to be the late President’s daughter.
In his post, Alaa indicated his indifference to these claims, refusing to give them any further attention.
The woman had appeared on social media recently, claiming to be the daughter of the late President Mubarak and actress Eman al-Toukhy.
The security agencies affiliated with the Ministry of Interior announced in an official statement that the woman behind the “Bint al-Rayes Hosni Mubarak” account was apprehended in Alexandria Governorate after her activity on social media platforms was tracked.
Security agencies clarified that two mobile phones were found in her possession, one of which contained an e-wallet with funds transferred from outside the country.
According to investigations, the accused woman confessed that she fabricated the claims with the aim of increasing her follower count on TikTok to achieve greater financial returns from her published content.
