Authorities on Saturday identified the man who was struck and killed in a hit-and-run in Chicago’s Austin neighborhood, according to police.
Patrick K. Beck, 35, was struck by a black sedan at approximately 2:30 a.m. along South Cicero Avenue near Roosevelt Road, police and the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office said. The suspect fled the scene following the crash.
Paramedics responded to the scene and transported Beck to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
No arrests had been made as of Saturday night. The Major Accidents Investigations Unit was investigating.
