Death, taxes and another Manning quarterback.
The NFL‘s royal family is set to add another member to the club when Arch Manning hears his name called next spring in the 2026 draft.
Manning is projected to be a top-five pick in next year’s draftGettyHowever, as he prepares to lead Texas this fall, it is another member of the family that has recently garnered attention.
14-year-old Marshall Manning, son of Hall of Famer, Peyton Manning. Marshall’s highlight tape has been going viral in recent days across the internet as he is set to start eighth grade.
In the reel, the young Manning is throwing it all across the field, using his arm and legs to create play after play. Keep in mind, it’s just middle school, but it’s easy to see shades of the Manning blood in each clip.
While Arch hasn’t even finished his college career, everyone is already looking ahead to the next great Manning QB.
After all, they seem to be a dime a dozen.
The patriarch of the family, Archie Manning, played in the NFL from 1971-1984. He rose to fame with the New Orleans Saints, making the Pro Bowl twice, and eventually ending up in their Hall of Fame and Ring of Honor.
Before Drew Brees came along, it was Archie who held the mantle as greatest quarterback in franchise history. Then came Archie’s two sons, Peyton and Eli.
Peyton was seen as one of the most perfect prospects to enter the NFL, out of the University of Tennessee. The Indianapolis Colts drafted him with the first overall pick in 1998 and the rest was history.
From there, Peyton thrust himself into the discussion of greatest quarterback ever. By the time it was all said and done, he was a 14-time Pro Bowler, seven-time All-Pro, two-time Super Bowl champion and five-time MVP. He can be found in Canton, Ohio, as a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
His little brother Eli came onto the scene in 2004, when he became a member of the New York Giants.

All eyes are on Arch now as the 21-year-old enters the season with national championship aspirations and expectations for the Longhorns. He is projected to be one of the first names called in next spring’s draft, if and when he declares.
Colin Cowherd has already boldly declared where the young Manning will call home next year and who his head coach will be.
However, his uncle Peyton doesn’t want to get too far ahead, as he just wants to watch his nephew enjoy his time starting on the college level.
“I’m excited to watch Arch play,” Manning said on The Pat McAfee Show. “He’s been very patient. I thought he threw the ball really well at the camp.
“They make throws that I wouldn’t even think about making,” Peyton added. “I mean, Arch made a throw the other day that I’d have to hit the cutoff man to get the ball to the actual receiver.”

Peyton also acknowledged that Arch gets his swagger from his dad, Cooper, and grandfather, Archie, not from either of his uncles.
“I think that little swagger comes from his dad, and that’s good to see,” Peyton said. “Look, Arch has got to be his own person. And he can move. My dad’s speed sort of skipped a generation, skipped me and Eli, and I think Arch has that.”
While all eyes will be on Arch in Austin, Texas, it’s never too early to see who is coming down the pipe.
And to the surprise of no one, it’s another Manning.
