The Evans Police Department will accept donations for its annual school supply drive until Aug. 15.
Waste Management officially kicked off the supply drive with a $4,000 donation, according to a department Facebook post.
“Thank you, Waste Management, for your incredible contribution,” the post said. “This support will help ensure our students have the supplies they need to start the school year strong.”
Officers continue to seek additional donations to help meet the needs of local schools and students. Community members can contribute to a donation box in front of the “police” window at the Evans Community Complex, 1100 37th St.
