Sfara’s art lights up Medici ...Middle East

News by : (TribToday) -

A solo exhibition by sculptor and painter Mara Sfara opens Friday at Medici Museum of Art.

Known for her figurative sculptures and vibrant paintings, Sfara’s work bridges classical technique with contemporary vision. “The Light of Tomorrow” showcases sculptures and mixed-media works that speak to themes of renewal, resilience and hope for the future. The exhibition encourages viewers to reflect on the strength of the human spirit and the enduring power of art to inspire change.

According to Medici Executive Director Katelyn Amendolara-Russo, “Mara Sfara’s art radiates compassion, curiosity and timeless storytelling. Her sculptures and paintings bring a sense of beauty and optimism to a world often clouded by uncertainty. ‘The Light of Tomorrow’ is a celebration of hope — one that we are honored to share with our community.”

An opening reception is planned from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Medici, 9350 E. Market St., Howland, which will also celebrate “From Oil to Art: A Rockefeller Legacy Rooted in Industry, Innovation and Imagination,” which also opens Friday, and “ZODIAC: The Mysterious Power of the Creative,” which opened in the spring. Admission is free.

Museum hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday. For more information, go to medicimuseum.art and 330-856-2120.
