Danny Murphy was held to account by one annoyed Chelsea fan live on talkSPORT on Wednesday.
The ex-Tottenham, Fulham and Liverpool star took up his regular seat on White and Jordan to discuss all things football.

Murphy was asked about Chelsea’s exploits in reaching the final just weeks after securing Champions League football and their UEFA Conference League triumph.
Pressed on whether victory this weekend would move the needle for boss Enzo Maresca and his young side, Murphy said: “Not for me it doesn’t, no.
“Inevitably, the expectation will rise irrelevant of this because of the money they have spent and that the players are now established and grown and should be better.”
Asked if they are title challengers, Murphy added: “I would say with the squad they have right now, no.
“I still think they need a goalkeeper, a centre-half like a [Virgil] van Dijk, a Saliba. Somebody who has the ability to guide those around him.”
Cue Chelsea fan Lawrence, who was waiting in the wings to have his say live on air and made an immediate beeline for Murphy.
“Instead of me talking about Chelsea, let’s get onto the cry baby of Danny Murphy talking about Chelsea and how bad they are,” said the Blues fan.
“When did I say they were bad?” a stunned Murphy replied.
The fan said: “Throughout the season you’ve been constantly criticising Chelsea. If Liverpool were in this competition (Club World Cup) there’d be a different swing on it.”
Murphy was the target of Chelsea fan Lawrence who accused the former player of continual criticism of the clubMurphy responded: “That’s completely wrong,” before adding, “Are you telling me or asking me?”
Lawrence replied: “Well I don’t really want to ask you because I don’t really care for your opinion if I’m totally honest.
“I think Chelsea are going in a good direction.”
Murphy then asked the caller for examples of where he had criticised the west London club.
“How could I have criticised Chelsea when they were second at Christmas? If I constantly do something you should be able to bring up an example,” said the former midfielder.
“I don’t need to bring up an example, I hear it all the time and it’s boring,” added Lawrence.

“Yeah, he’s done well,” Murphy responded.
“Okay, so why do Chelsea need to buy a centre-half then if they’ve got a great academy product like that and Levi Colwill?,” the fan argued.
Murphy explained: “Well I think the majority of Chelsea fans agree with me in terms of the experience needed at the back.
“They let Thiago Silva go and didn’t really replace him. I think when you’ve got two centre-halves that are talented but both young and inexperienced, you might get games where they struggle.”
The debate did eventually simmer and despite being firmly in the firing line, Murphy admirably kept his cool throughout.
As for Lawrence, all eyes will be on Chelsea’s Club World Cup final clash against either Paris Saint-Germain or Real Madrid on Sunday evening.
