On July 7, Presley's Instagram page honored one of his most striking stage looks ever, a bold red jumpsuit. It was reportedly the only red jumpsuit the king ever wore on stage.
According to the ETA Festivals Facebook page, the stage costume was dubbed the "Red Pinwheel Suit," also known as the "Red Matador." It was cherry red and paired with a white lined cape and kick pleats in the pants.

Presley's jumpsuit designer was Bill Belew. In an interview with Elvis Australia, the designer shared insights into his collaboration with the King and the creative process behind some of his most unforgettable looks.
He continued, "We experimented with blue, which was one of his favorite colors. Red. But it just ended up that white was the best thing and, of course, you know, you want the star to be the person, you know, and not the wardrobe."
“These jumpsuits are not just costumes or pieces of stage wear, they are pieces of art,” said Angie Marchese, Vice President of Graceland Archives and Exhibits. “They made Elvis' already-powerful stage performances even more memorable, defining what true rock style was.”
These stunning stage costumes are currently on display at Elvis Presley's Graceland in an exhibit called "Elvis: Dressed to Rock."
