A 5-year-old child is in serious condition after being found unresponsive near a residential pool in suburban Buffalo Grove, officials said.
According to officials, paramedics received a report at around 6:30 p.m. of an unresponsive child in a private pool in the 100 block of Copperwood Drive.
Upon arrival, paramedics located the child out of the water, with life-saving measures beginning immediately, officials said.
The child was transported to a local hospital where they were listed in serious condition, according to officials.
No further information was available and the incident is under investigation.
