Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has agreed to a lucrative new contract extension with the Oklahoma City Thunder, according to a report.
ESPN’s Shams Charania first reported that news on Tuesday morning, noting the former Kentucky guard will sign a 4-year deal worth a projected $285 million. Gilgeous-Alexander is already under contract for the next 2 seasons, so this deal begins in 2027-28.

As ESPN’s Bobby Marks notes, SGA’s contract is based on a projected salary cap number for the 2027-28 season. The salary cap is expected increase by up to 10% annually for the foreseeable future, but exact figures are not yet known.

OKC co-stars Jalen Williams and Chet Holmgren are expected to sign lucrative extensions this summer as well. The Thunder won their first NBA title since moving to Oklahoma City last month.
