Cam Skattebo and Tetairoa McMillan could have an immediate impact on fantasy football rosters as the rookies look to bring their absurd collegiate production to the NFL.
The two combined for 3,635 total scrimmage yards in 2024, capping off landmark careers for their respective programs. Skattebo set single-season ASU records for rushing yards (1,711) and touchdowns (21), and McMillan did the same for Arizona’s receiving yards record (1,319).
And while Skattebo had more team success in his final year, McMillan was drafted higher, going eighth overall to the Carolina Panthers before Skattebo was picked 104th by the New York Giants.
PFF lists McMillan relatively highly in its wide receiver tiers for fantasy football, and his head coach pairing being a big reason why.

Newly hired Panthers coach Dave Canales was the passing game coordinator for the Seattle Seahawks when D.K. Metcalf was at his most productive in scoring touchdowns. Metcalf has been a popular comparison for the former Arizona Wildcat because of their similar statures.
McMillan was slotted as the top receiver in the fourth tier and 21st overall.
Skattebo has more work to do to climb his position’s ladder at 36th overall and on the bottom end of the fifth running backs tier.
One spot behind him is Giants teammate Tyrone Tracy Jr. Many expect the Giants to utilize a “thunder and lightning” type of backfield with Skattebo providing the thunder and Tracy offering more of the lightning.
Giants coach Brian Daboll is known for his offensive creativity, and Skattebo can feed into that with his versatility in the passing game. In 2024, Skattebo was the first FBS player with at least 1,500 rushing yards and 500 receiving yards in a season since Christian McCaffrey.
Quarterback play will play a factor for McMillan and Skattebo’s production, especially early in their careers, and McMillan may have the early edge.
Bryce Young came alive for Carolina after a spotty start to the season that included a benching. He finished with 15 touchdown passes and six interceptions over his final 10 games after no touchdown passes and four interceptions over his first four contests.
New York, meanwhile, underwent a total facelift with its quarterback room, adding free agents Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston and drafting Jaxson Dart in the first round.
