Ole Miss has landed an experienced arm out of the portal for its 2026 roster.
Wil Libbert, a left-hander who pitched for Mizzou, has committed to the Ole Miss Rebels to continue his college career. Libbert made the announcement on social media. Per Chase Parham, Libbert was also considering Tennessee, Auburn and South Carolina.

Libbert, out of St. Thomas, Missouri, is entering Year 3 of his college career. He did not play in 2024, taking a redshirt.
This past season, Libbert made 14 appearances for the Tigers, including 11 starts. He pitched 53.2 innings of the 2025 college season, posting an ERA of 6.04. Libbert allowed 41 runs (36 earned) on 55 hits, striking out 55 while walking 33. Per Jacob Rudner of Baseball America, Libbert has a fastball that reaches 95 mph and drew a 41% whiff rate with his slider.
Libbert is currently with the Hyannis Harbor Hawks in the Cape Cod League. On Saturday, in a start against Wareham, Libbert threw 4 scoreless innings, allowing 4 hits while striking out 6 without issuing a walk.
