There’s another quarterback in the Trinity League to watch with the last name Brown.
And this time, he’s at Orange Lutheran.
Ezrah Brown, the younger brother of former Mater Dei quarterback Elijah Brown, has enrolled at Orange Lutheran for his freshman year beginning this fall, he confirmed.
“I am extremely excited to write my own chapter at OLu,” Brown said. “I love the coaches, the school and the people, and I’m just ready to go and compete.”
Brown (6-0, 170) could be in action Saturday with Orange Lutheran at the Nike 11-ONs at the Chargers’ training facility and headquarters in El Segundo.
Other teams attending the event include Serra, Long Beach Poly, Palos Verdes, Inglewood, Newbury Park and Murrieta Valley.
In April, Brown received his first offer from Sacramento State.
He credits his brother Elijah, now at Stanford, for helping shape his football career.
“He’s been a great impact on what I have become as a player,” Brown said of Elijah, The Register’s O.C. offensive player of the year in 2023. “It’s great to learn the next level at this age, so I am very thankful for him and him taking the time to pass down the knowledge that he has learned so I can succeed.”
Orange Lutheran is seeking to replace quarterback TJ Lateef, who is now at Nebraska.
