Yes, and according to LaTanya, the couple made a “pact” to stay that way.
And “figure it out” they have, including when Jackson was struggling with drug and alcohol addiction, a problem that came to a head around 1990, when LaTanya checked her husband into rehab. “I threatened to leave him if he didn’t see the rehab through,” she told The New York Timesin 2012. “I knew I couldn’t leave this boy I admired so much. But I resented him too. I hated it when he slurred his words. A wife hates to see her husband be weak.”
