The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame will be inducting its 2026 class of musical talents on Saturday, Nov. 14 at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, with the ceremony airing on ABC and Disney+ in December.
Phil Collins, Billy Idol, Iron Maiden, Joy Division/New Order, Oasis, Sade, Luther Vandross and Wu-Tang Clan make up this year’s class of performer inductees, with other musical talents earning awards in other categories.
Receiving the Early Influence award are Queen Latifah, Gram Parsons, Celia Cruz, Fela Kuti and MC Lyte, while Linda Creed, Arif Mardin, Jimmy Miller and Rick Rubin will take home the Musical Excellence award.
The Ahmet Ertegun award for non-performing industry professionals who have made a lasting impact on music will be posthumously awarded to Ed Sullivan, whose eponymous variety show, The Ed Sullivan Show, ran on CBS from 1948-71 and hosted such musical icons as Elvis Presley, The Beatles, The Supremes and more.
“Induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame is music’s highest honor,” said John Sykes, chairman of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, in a statement. “We look forward to celebrating these remarkable artists at this year’s ceremony — it’s going to be an unforgettable night.”
To be eligible for induction into the Hall of Fame, an artist or band’s first commercial recording must have been released at least 25 years before the year of nomination.
Wu-Tang Clan, Collins and Vandross are first-time nominees, while the others have had prior nominations. Collins was first inducted in 2010 with his band Genesis, and this year’s honor will make him one of the rare two-time inductees, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The Los Angeles venue will play host to the awards show for the second year in a row, with the ceremony returning to the museum’s home base of Cleveland in 2027, according to the Rock Hall.
