Water balloon fight, outdoor concerts and more fun in the Best of the Week ...Saudi Arabia

It looks like the rain is gone — for now, at least — which means outdoor fun can be had without carrying an umbrella.

The Best of the Week has more outdoor concerts, a water balloon fight, a Father’s Day car show and more summer family fun.

Saturday

The Poudre River “Trailathlon” is from 9 a.m. to noon at the Poudre River Learning Center, 8313 W. F St., Greeley. This free family-friendly event gets the community to participate in outdoor trail activities such as archery, walking, running, hiking, biking, fishing and more. Participants will also learn trail etiquette and safety. To register as a participant or volunteer, go to tinyurl.com/3thb5msh.

The Family FunPlex Splash Cash is from 9-11:30 a.m. at the FunPlex, 1501 65th Ave., Greeley. This event is for children ages 5-12. Organizers promise a lot of water balloons and a lot of fun. There will be separate sessions for younger and older children. Admission is $5.

Sunday (Father’s Day)

The Captain’s Table Father’s Day Car show is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Greeley-Weld County Airport, 600 Airport Road A. The free event will have a BBQ, live music, raffles and other family fun.

Monday

The final performance of Cirque Italia’s Water Circus I: Silver Unit starts at 7:30 p.m. at the Greeley Mall. Tickets start at $15. To purchase tickets, go to silver.cirqueitalia.com.

Tuesday

Angel’s Envy Whiskey hosts a whiskey tasting and class from 6-7:30 p.m. at William Oliver’s Windsor, 514 Main St., Windsor. Tickets are $30. To purchase tickets, go to williamolivers.com/events.

Wednesday

Aims Community College hosts a Juneteenth Celebration from noon to 2 p.m. at the gazebo behind Ed Beaty Hall at the Greeley campus. The Multicultural Office for Student Affinity, Inclusion and Community hosts the celebration that honors Juneteenth’s historical and cultural significance. There will be music, BBQ, games and local businesses.

Thursday

The Greeley Creative District hosts From Muse to Machine: How Creatives Can Harness AI Without Losing the Magic from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at the Atlas Theater, 709 16th St., Greeley. This free event shares information about practical tech solutions for creators trying to save time with AI while staying true to their vision. Lori Gama, AI consultant and digital marketing expert, is the presenter. This event is a part of the creative district’s Cacophony of Creatives Sessions.

The first concert in the 2025 Greeley Family FunPlex Summer Concert series features Kream of the Krop from 7-8 p.m. at the FunPlex. Kream of the Krop Kream is a 17-piece big band playing music from the big band era, including jazz tunes from Glenn Miller, Count Basie and Quincy Jones. This free series features a musical act every Thursday night until Aug. 7. Attendees can bring a picnic, blankets and lawn chairs.

Friday, June 20

Rumours, a tribute to Fleetwood Mac, starts at 8 p.m. at the Moxi Theater, 802 9th St., Greeley. The Taylor Shae band is the special guest. Tickets start at $25. Go to moxitheater.com to purchase tickets.
